Ganito Privacy Policy
Effective 12 October 2026. Ganito ("the app") is made by Workaholic Developers. This policy covers the iOS and Android app and the website https://ganito.wdlab.app. The website's /privacy page has the same text.
The short version
Ganito does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Your calculations stay on your phone.
What stays on your phone
- The calculator tape, recent calculations, saved sheets and their notes, favourites and settings are stored in the app's private storage on your device.
- To show widgets, Control Center controls and Siri answers, the app writes a small summary (your last result, currency rates, a saved loan's EMI and balance, your favourite tools) to storage shared only with Ganito's own widgets on the same device (an iOS App Group / Android app-private preferences).
- Deleting the app deletes all of this. Settings → Erase all data deletes it without removing the app.
We never receive any of it: there is no Ganito server for your data.
The one network request: currency rates
To convert currencies, the app downloads the euro reference rates published by the European Central Bank (ECB), https://www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/eurofxref/eurofxref-daily.xml, when you open the app (at most once every 6 hours) or when you tap "Update rates now". The request carries no information about you or your calculations; like any web request, the ECB's servers see your device's IP address and the app name. The ECB's own privacy statement applies to its servers. You can turn automatic updates off in Settings → Currency rates; the app then uses the last rates it has (or the rates built into the app) and always shows their date.
Siri, Shortcuts and read aloud
If you ask Siri a Ganito question ("GST with Ganito"), Apple processes your voice under Apple's privacy policy. Ganito works out the answer on your device and does not send it anywhere. "Read aloud" uses your phone's built-in speech voice on the device.
Sharing
When you share a result, image or PDF, you choose the app or person it goes to through your phone's share sheet. Ganito does not keep a copy elsewhere.
The website
https://ganito.wdlab.app is a static website with no cookies, no analytics and no third-party content. Like every web server, ours keeps an access log (IP address, browser user agent, page requested and time) to keep the site secure; these logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
Children
Ganito is suitable for everyone and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and in the app's next release, with a new effective date.
